HYSTERICA Planning 'Special Concept' For Next Album
April 1, 2011Swedish MANOWAR-inspired all-female metal band HYSTERICA, which recently completed a short run of dates in Russia with FRANTIC AMBER, is working on a new album titled "The Art Of Metal". According to a press release, HYSTERICA is planning "something different and unique" for the upcoming CD by "unit[ing] the music with another form of art. The concept for the new album is as follows: By letting different artists interpret each song, a number of art pieces will be created. These will be presented together with each new album track. One single will be released digitally each month until this fall when the album will be released in its entirety."
The art object for the first single "Force Of Metal" — a magnificent metal sculpture made by Bo Andersson — has just been uncovered at a pre-release party, and the sculpture will be shown at a gallery this coming week until the single is released digitally on April 11.
"The Art Of Metal" is reportedly being mixed and mastered by Pontus Norgren (HAMMERFALL) and Marcus Jidell (EVERGREY).
HYSTERICA gained notoriety after the release of its debut album, "Metalwar", which was mixed by Peter Tägtgren (PAIN, HYPOCRISY). In 2010 HYSTERICA was honored with the "Best Newcomer" award at the Swedish Metal Awards.
